Hallo ins Forum,
würde gerne in den nächsten Tagen meinen Indian Racer von 1917 in rot neu lackieren.
Hat jemand einen Farbcode für mich??

Habe mal vor einiger Zeit den PPG Code (51049, Midnight canyon red) bekommen den ich als Foto angehängt habe. Soweit ich weiss hat George Yarocki zu diesem PPG Code gemeint, das er dem originalen Indian rot an einer 1929er Scout am nächsten kommt. Nicht gerade 1917, aber vielleicht trotzdem gut.
Geh einfach zum Lackierer deines Vertrauens und lass Dir mal etwas von dieser Formulierung anmischen, dann siehst Du ob dir der Farbton gefällt oder nicht.
Soweit ich weiss kommt auch RAL 3030 (Rubinrot) dem originalen Indian rot nahe, aber auch da musst Du Dich mal beim Lackierer schlau machen und schauen ob es für dich passt.

vor Jahren hat mal Christian Timmermann eine Dose Orginallack in die Finger bekommen. Er hat sie geöffnet und verkündet, Indian Red entspricht am ehesten RAL 3004, also Purpurrot.
Ich kann das nicht prüfen, aber es ist eine schöne Farbe, die einer Indian gut steht.

Schaut Euch mal meine 741 an. Der Tank war schon erneuert und ist jetzt mit Originalrezeptur neu lackiert worden. Alles andere ist (teilweise ausgebesserter) Erstlack.
Für mich die schönste Armyscout, die ich kenne.

Würde die Indian auch gerne so lassen, leider hat der Vorgänger bei der Lackierung sehr schlechte Arbeit hinterlassen.
Deshalb alles runter und einmal neu........
