Hallo,
Suche Unterlagen, Werbematerial Über Indian Fahrräder.
Bin durch Zufall auf ein Indian Fahrrad gestoßen.
Kann es aber nicht genau dem Baujahr zuordnen.
Indian Chief mit Holzfelgen. Denke Baujahr 1917-22.
Gab es da Unterschiede?

Für mich ist dies ein Fahrrad der Marke "Sears" Modell "Chief".
Die Vorderradgabel kann ich nicht zuordnen.

Die Tretkurbel wurde bestimmt mal ausgetauscht. Diese sieht man an Fahrrädern der Marke "Hawthorne" (1917).

Im Internet kann man ein Menge finden.

Bin etwas traurig über die Erkenntnis, es ist kein Indian Fahrrad.
Das Fahrrad stammt aus dem Nachlaß von Uwe Ziesemann.
Er sagte zu mir in früheren Zeiten, das dieses Fahrrad eines von Indian sei. Konnte daran keine Zweifel haben.

Das es keine Indian ist ändert aber nichts an der Tatsache das es ein schönes, seltenes und ca. 100Jahre altes Fahrrad ist. Bei Bonhams war es einem sogar über 2600 Dollar Wert. Ich denke mal das der wusste was er dort ersteigert hat.
