Beim Hantieren bei meiner 41er Gabel hab ich bemerkt, dass loses Rost in den Gabelrohren herumschwirrt.
Nützt es, wenn man ein kleines Loch in die Gabelrohre bohrt und Rostschutzöl einfüllt? Hat da jemand Erfahrung damit?

natürlich kann man mit Rostschutzfetten, wie Mike Sanders, Time Max oder Fluid Film den Rost stoppen, also ein Weiterrosten verhindern. Wenn die Gabel oder der Rahmen aber schon so weit angerostet ist, dass die Stabilität nicht mehr reicht, sind auch Korrosionsschutzfette machtlost.
Daher würde ich im Zweifel lieber in den sauren Apfel beißen, und eine neue Gabel kaufen, als ein unnötiges Risiko eingehen. Ich möchte mir gar nicht ausmalen, was passiert, wenn bei 80 km/h die Gabel bricht.
