Hallo Jens,

es gibt unterschiedlich lange Rockerarme. Die kürzeren sind für oben bei Betrieb mit Seitenwagen, da dadurch der Nachlauf kürzer wird und das Gespann leichter gelenkt werden kann. Wenn Du die unten montierst, machst Du es Dir natürlich unnötig schwer. Hier würde ich an Deiner Stelle mal den Zollstock dran halten.

Hallo Rafy,

die kürzeren sind schon oben eingebaut, allerdings sind die nur ein bisschen kürzer als die unteren. Ich glaube beim 46er Modell werden oben richtigerweise besonders kurze verbaut, die hier:

Die Maße bei meinem Motorrad:

Obere Rockerarme: Mitte Achse bis Mitte Achse 10,26 cm
Gesamtlänge: 12,77 cm

Untere Rockerarme: Mitte Achse bis Mitte Achse 11,15 cm
Gesamtlänge: 13,73 cm

Nun passts, Kupplungspedal und -fuß haben genügend Luft, der untere Arm war zu kurz:

Die 46er Chief hatte übrigens nach Jerry Hatfield und nach Aussagen in US-Foren als einzige Chief auch als Solomotorrad 4" Rockerarme oben in der Gabel, ist bei mir also richtig. Auch J. Greer listet für 1946 4", für 1947 4 3/8".
