kann mir eventuell jemand sagen ob und wenn ja wo es Aluminium Repro Tanks gibt?
Würde mich für 37er Chief interessieren.

die Alutanks gabe es, zumindest im Orginal, nur 1933/34 mit geschraubten Tankdeckeln.
Ob das dann aus Kostengründen oder wegen technischen Problemen wieder geändert wurde, wer weiß?
Christoph Brunner hat sich für seine 101 einen Alutank fertigen lassen,
Bericht im Clubheft 133.
Sehr geiles Bike, Megalob an Christoph,
Ich bin gespannt auf den Bericht, wenn das Teil mal fertig ist!
Den Tank hat Mark Lesek aus Tasmaniengemacht.
Der mit der selbst gebauten Armprotese aus Alu, er kann`s wohl wirklich.
Sicher kann Dir Christoph gute Ratschläge geben.

ein Bekannter von mir hat an seinem 30'er Jahre Chief Bobber Alutanks aus indischer Produktion. Die Form ist nicht ganz original, sehen unlackiert am Bobber aber recht Nett aus.
Ob die zur Zeit in der Bucht angebotenen Tanks die selbe Qualität haben wie seiner? Ich weiß es nicht.

Mat Blake macht,soweit ich weiß,alle Tanks auch in Alu. Nix gelötet. Alles ordentlich geschweißt. Bin mit meinen Stahltanks sehr zufrieden!
