Hallo,
bin dabei mir morgen (20 Juli 2022) eine Chief von 1947 zu kaufen.
Muss dazu 300km fahren und die Verkäuferin ist die Witwe des letzten Besitzers und hat keine Ahnung von der Chief.
Mich macht stutzig, dass in der Anzeige die Rahmennummer 475375 angegeben ist.
Ich kenne nur 7 stellige Rahmennummern.
Die ersten 3 Stellen sollten doch eigentlich 347 sein und mit der 4-stelligen Motornummer enden.
hat jemand von Euch dazu das nötige Wissen?
Bin neu hier und habe mich gerade erst im Club als Mitglied angemeldet.

Ich bin ganz sicher kein Experte, bin auch gerade erst dabei meine 47ér Chief aufzubauen.
Aber vieleicht ist die erste Zahl, also die "3", einfach nicht mehr zu lesen weil sie überlackiert worden ist oder so.

Lass dir doch mal Fotos von der Rahmennummer schicken. Eventuell kannst du die fehlende "3" erahnen.

Wünsche dir viel Glück beim Kauf der Chief...

das kann mal vorkommen dass die Rahmennummer falsch abgelesen wird. Dann gibt es einen entsprechenden Eintrag im Brief.
